  1. Palantir reports two numbers: revenue, which it generally books evenly over each contract's term, and contract value, the potential lifetime value of the contracts it signed in the quarter.
  2. In the third quarter, revenue grew 96% from a year earlier, faster than in any of the eight quarters before. Contract value grew 6%.
  3. That second number grew 151% a year earlier and 138% at the end of 2025, then slowed in each quarter of 2026: 61%, 49%, now 6%.
  4. Under Palantir's definition, a shorter contract carries less value at signing, even for the same yearly spending.
  5. Finance chief David Glazer said several deals worth tens of millions of dollars were shorter than usual, and he expects their length and size to grow over time, according to an Investing.com transcript.

How we got these numbers

  • Growth rates, revenue by customer and contract values are as Palantir's quarterly earnings releases state them (Form 8-K, Exhibit 99.1, third quarter 2024 through third quarter 2026); KeyVex did not recompute them. The releases for the third and fourth quarters of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 do not give company-wide total contract value in their highlights (the last two give U.S. commercial contract value only), so the growth chart starts with the second quarter of 2025. 56% is $179 million of U.S. commercial revenue against $320 million of U.S. government revenue in the third quarter of 2024. Total contract value, in the releases' definition, is the potential lifetime value of contracts at signing and assumes every option is exercised; remaining deal value is what remains on contracts at the end of the quarter.
  • Prices are closes as traded. The Nov. 3 price is a live quote, the IEX last sale via Tiingo at 9:52 a.m. Eastern, not a close: $170.68 against the Nov. 2 close of $178.34 is -4.30%. Day-after moves compare the close the day after each report (all released after the close) with the close on the report day: Nov. 3 to Nov. 4, 2025, $207.18 to $190.74 (-7.9%); Feb. 2 to Feb. 3, 2026, $147.76 to $157.88 (+6.8%); May 4 to May 5, $146.03 to $135.91 (-6.9%); Aug. 3 to Aug. 4, $125.65 to $162.66 (+29.5%). $209.05 on Oct. 9, 2026 is the highest of KeyVex's Palantir closes from its first, Sept. 30, 2020. $107.27 on June 25 was the lowest close of 2026 through Nov. 2. $170.68 is 18.4% below $209.05. Faster than in any of the eight quarters before: revenue growth of 30%, 36%, 39%, 48%, 63%, 70%, 85% and 93% from the third quarter of 2024 to the second quarter of 2026. Revenue of $2.313 billion is rounded to $2.3 billion in the text.
