# KeyVex

KeyVex is an API for US public financial-disclosure data, congressional stock trades, SEC insider transactions (Form 4), lobbying filings, federal contracts, Treasury auctions, member-of-Congress profiles, and more. Source-faithful US government data, agent-ready.

## Use the API

- Auth: send your key in the request header `x-api-key: <YOUR_KEY>` (required for the REST API)
- Get a key: https://keyvex.com
- The REST API requires a key. A free key returns most public-record datasets (one year of history; market-price data, unified-search and twelve heavier datasets are on paid plans only, marked "paid plans" below and on each dataset page), capped at 60 requests/day; paid plans raise the caps. The daily allowance resets at midnight Eastern. The MCP server at https://mcp.keyvex.com also answers a small set of tools without a key. Use is governed by https://keyvex.com/terms; FEC and financial-disclosure records carry federal use restrictions (Terms §6A).

- `GET /v1/member-profile`, member-of-Congress profiles (party, state, committees)
- `GET /v1/lobbying-filings`, federal lobbying disclosures (registrant, client, issue codes)
- `GET /v1/treasury-auctions`, US Treasury auction results (security type, dates, yields) (paid plans)
- `GET /v1/daily-prices`, daily EOD closing-price history for US stocks/ETFs/funds incl. delisted (paid plans; Close Prices from Tiingo.com)

These are a few of 60+ available datasets (also: institutional holdings, federal contracts + grants (paid plans), SEC filings, FDA approvals, FDIC bank financials, CMS Open Payments (paid plans), FEMA disasters, H-1B filings, economic indicators, enforcement actions from 8 regulators (enforcement only by default; category=all adds the agencies' general news), and more). Always fetch the OpenAPI spec above for the full, current list of endpoints and their parameters, it is generated from the live API and never out of date.
